Huai Jinpeng visits Nanjing University

On January 31, Minister of Education Huai Jinpeng made a visit to Nanjing University to gain insights into scientific and technological innovation. The visit was joined by Zhao Yan, Vice Governor of Jiangsu Province, Tan Tieniu, Secretary of the CPC Nanjing University Committee and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Tang Zhemin, the President of NJU and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.


During the visit, Huai Jinpeng received a briefing on the development of Nanjing University, with a specific focus on talent cultivation and the industrial application of research breakthroughs. He acknowledged the university’s dedicated efforts and outstanding achievements. Looking ahead, he emphasized that NJU should persist in leveraging its advantages in education, science and technology, and talent to generate more scientific and technological achievements, and facilitate the industrial application of such accomplishments. The Ministry of Education is committed to continuing its strong support for Nanjing University in these endeavors.

Zhao Yan stated that Jiangsu Provincial Government would continue to support NJU by strengthening the connection between the university and local governments and enterprises, and developing interdisciplinary, cross-sectoral, and cross-regional innovation alliances.

Tan Tieniu and Tang Zhemin, on behalf of NJU, sincerely thanked the Ministry of Education and Jiangsu Province for their long-term support to the university. They stated that NJU will further focus on scientific and technological innovation, and strive to be a model in the advancement of high-level scientific and technological research.
